CRAVING FOR EDUCATION AT CHAKAKA PRIMARY

There is high absentism of girl learners at Chakaka School during mentruation due to learners considering menstruation as a taboo especially those on adolescent stage. Their performance thus decreases and some look down to themselves as fellows laugh at them incase the period fall in the class. Most disadvantaged children too fail to perform due to lack of learning materials. Oorganisation for developemt and Environemental Care(ODEC) in partnership wants to raise 2182 Euros to procure clothes for pads and train 300 girls on puberty stage to be making local pads and assign each to go train 3 more girls who reaches on puberty in their localities. Also the Charity together with a partner Foundation for Education Social Development intents to support 100 learners with writing and notebooks at the same Chakaka School.
