Locatarii pădurii vor zero plastic la scara lor
The campaign “Forest Residents” came to life by mirroring citizens’ harmful habits through the voices of forest inhabitants, emphasizing the contrast between how people treat their human neighbors with respect while often neglecting the nearby forest ecosystem. For many local residents, plastic was either overlooked or seen merely as trash, without understanding its harmful impact on wildlife and the surrounding forest. Instead of focusing on abstract concepts like sustainability, the campaign centered on people and their direct relationship with the forest. The strategy was built on the insight that individuals tend to act more responsibly when they feel personally affected or when those impacted are perceived as neighbors rather than strangers. Since the forest is located close to the city, it was framed as a neighboring district, with animals portrayed as neighbors equally deserving of respect. “The Plastic Concert. Give Voice to the Forest” is a campaign within the same project as “Forest Residents Want Zero Plastic in Their Building.” The project featured a unique concert in which musical instruments were crafted from plastic waste collected from the forest, symbolizing how plastic pollution disrupts the forest’s natural harmony. After being gathered, the plastic was transformed by an artist into functional musical instruments used during the concert to symbolically give the forest a voice. Concert attendees received Zero Plastic kits, encouraging responsible behavior and a commitment to reducing plastic waste.
